A Warning to the Patriot Movement

A Warning to the Patriot Movement—Seven Guidelines
1. We must not be married to any political party.
2. We must not advocate violence.
3. We must not dismiss the possibility of violent defense of liberty.
4. We must befriend all who will listen, and form coalitions around the Constitution.
5. We must befriend the military and law enforcement.
6. We must embark on a 20 year mission to educate the young.
7. We must gain the imagination of 15-25 year olds.

Interesting post. I agree with most of it. It's obvious that Fundamentalism has lost the imagination of 15-25 year olds.

Tom,
Thanks for the note. Fundamentalism is lost in a right wing funk when it comes to civil government. This particular blog "Chain the Beast" is not about ecclesiastical government, it is about the principles of civil government. Fundamentalism is disconnected from dissenter (for the most part "Baptist") heritage and is impotent to articulate its principles in this matter.

You are absolutely right, Bro. Beller. I began to go away from the Republican party about two years ago. Republicans and Democrats are just two sides to the same coin, a coin that is not about liberty at all. It's not about following a political party, it's about standing for liberty.

The American people would do well to learn about true history (the influence of Baptists and other dissenters) of liberty. Baptist, much less other "Christians" and secular Americans, know very little, if any, of our heritage.
